Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) with 600 km diameter and wind s of up to 320 kph barreling across the Philippines, is one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded. The typhoon's very strong winds and rain brought severe flooding, storm surges, and landslides and caused catastrophic damage to houses, electrical and communication infrastructures, roads, airports, and agricultural crops, and livelihood assets. More than10 Million were affected, more than 600,000 were left homeless, and death tolls were estimated at 10,000.

ACCORD field teams are currently on the ground to provide emergency shelter, food and water to the population most affected by Typhoon Yolanda. ACCORD has been prioritizing remote and least served communities. Help us reach them.
