Community-Based Integrated Risk Management (2014-2017)
The Proud of My Purok Program was a community-led Integrated Risk Management (IRM) initiative designed to build local capacities, improve natural resource protection, and secure livelihoods at the sub-village (purok) level.

Key Interventions & Impact
The program mobilized purok-level governance and organization to implement direct actions:
- Peatland Conservation & Restoration: Protecting crucial carbon-sink peatlands in Talacogon to prevent fires and mitigate flood hazards.
- Landslide Hazard Mapping & Tree Planting: Implementing community-led reforestation on steep slopes in Maragusan.
- Purok Solid Waste Management: Establishing localized waste segregation systems to reduce health risks and prevent drainage clogging.
- Livelihood Diversification: Supporting community savings groups and eco-friendly farming practices to buffer families against crop failures.
